Córdoba: drunk driver, crashed, overturned and went to sleep on the sidewalk

The 38-year-old driver had to be rescued by firefighters as he was locked inside his vehicle. Minutes after they took him out of the vehicle, he lay down meters from the accident.

An unusual episode occurred in the Cerro de las Rosas neighborhood, province of Córdoba: a driver who was driving drunk, crashed, overturned and went to sleep on the sidewalk. The 38-year-old man, who had to be rescued by firefighters since he was locked inside his vehicle, lay down meters from the accident minutes later. According to witnesses, the subject was driving a Honda Fit model car on 4450 Rafael Núñez Street, when he lost control of his vehicle, hit a concrete bed and ended up with the vehicle turning upside down. When police and fire personnel arrived, the driver had to be rescued from inside the vehicle. However, while the staff was working at the scene, the man decided to lie down to sleep on the sidewalk meters from the accident. Firefighters who worked at the scene assured that the man "could not stand" due to the level of alcohol in his blood. "He fell to the ground, a little due to the impact and also due to the alcohol he had consumed," they assured El Doce.
