Fugitives in judicial cases for having committed different crimes, people with a request to search for their whereabouts, people of all ages who are lost, constitute, among other situations, the universe of those who are found or captured through the collaboration of the personnel of the National Commission of Transport Regulation (CNRT) during long-distance bus trips. This was indicated to Télam by sources from that body dependent on the Ministry of Transportation and with 48 delegations throughout the country, which until last month counted 4,400 findings in the year, a key contribution to the resolution of these searches ordered by Justice. This task, for which CNRT agents receive constant training, translates into positive statistics that show that since this collaboration policy was implemented, the situations that could be resolved have doubled. In 2021, with the intervention of CNRT workers, 2,122 people who were wanted were found, a figure that increased to 3,800 in 2022 and 4,400 so far in 2023 until September 14.
