With the presence of writers such as Gabriela Cabezón Cámara, Dolores Reyes, Selva Almada and Federico Jeanmaire, who will be in charge of the opening speech, from next Wednesday to Sunday the 13th edition of the Santiago Book Fair will be held del Estero, consolidated as a cultural and educational milestone in the region that in this case will emphasize the Quechua language and regional poetry. With free admission, for five days the Convention Center Forum will host book presentations, talks, a meeting of booktubers, workshops and training talks in areas such as design, literary chronicle and diverse literature. Works in Quechua-Spanish will also be presented, as well as titles by local writers. The Santiago del Estero Book Fair will have a diverse agenda of guest writers that includes Selva Almada, Gabriela Cabezón Cámara, Dolores Reyes, Lorena Pronsky, Rep (Miguel Repiso), Pedro Saborido, María O'Donnell, Eduardo Rinesi, Pablo Alabarces, Alejandro Wall, Víctor Hugo Morales, Osvaldo Quiroga, Ezequiel Adamovsky, Soledad Barruti, Claudia Korol, Verónica Berenstein, Marina Farinetti and Osvaldo Gross, among others. The writer Federico Jeanmaire, author of titles such as "Dwarf Loves", "The Polish Band" or "Lighter Than Air", will be in charge of the opening remarks. A highlight of this year's Fair will be the Quechua language day, in which the intercultural bilingual degree program of the National University of Santiago del Estero (UNSE) will participate. Talks, conferences will be held and specialists from Jujuy and Peru will be present. Gavina Córdova, Peruvian Quechua-speaking researcher and teacher, will join the event. In this context, a book will be presented that contains unpublished manuscripts by Carlos Maldonado, a Quichuista from Santiago. Kenneth Miller, owner of the Santiago bookstore "Utopía", highlighted to Télam the expectation regarding this new edition. "The Fair is not only a cultural meeting space, but it is also an engine for sales and promotion of reading. The diversity of books and genres it offers guarantees that the tastes of all visitors, young and old, are reflected in the exhibitors' proposals".
