This Sunday, Russian forces shot down three Ukrainian missiles aimed at the Crimean peninsula, a territory annexed by Moscow in 2014 and which frequently receives attacks from the Kiev Army, a local authority appointed by Russia reported. "Three enemy missiles sent in the direction of Crimea were shot down" in the southern Ukrainian province of Kherson - occupied by Russia - the governor appointed by Moscow, Vladimir Saldo, indicated on his Telegram account. Before this announcement, the Crimean authorities issued an alert and temporarily interrupted traffic on the bridge that connects that peninsula with Russia. For several weeks, Ukraine has been trying to direct its operations to this strategic area for Russia, since it is a position that allows it to supply its troops in the south of the country and launch missile attacks from the sea. At the end of September, Ukraine launched an attack against the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet and claimed that around thirty officers were killed in the operation. Russia reported that after the attack, which left significant damage, a soldier was reported missing. For their part, Ukrainian forces announced this Sunday that they had destroyed a guided missile and three drones launched by Russian forces, according to the AFP news agency.
