The Federal Oral Court that was established in Rawson, Chubut, sentenced former federal police officers, Luis Coria and Jorge Lagunas, to 15 years in prison and absolute and perpetual disqualification from holding public office, for crimes against humanity committed against a group of nine political militants at the headquarters of the force located in the provincial capital. This is the trial that took place in the Legislature of Chubut, for the events that occurred in 1975, in which the two former federal officials were accused of illegitimate deprivation of liberty aggravated by violence and threats. During the legal process, the participation of José Antonio Pereyra and Pedro Pascual Cáceres, two other former police officers who were investigated in the same events, could not be substantiated. The trial took place at the headquarters of the Chamber of Deputies of Chubut at the request of the victims, who requested that the hearings not be held in the Penitentiary Service officers' casino building, where debates on various cases usually take place. The accused belonged to the Federal Police Delegation of the capital of Chubut who were identified as those who carried out the torture practices known as "dry submarine" and the application of electric shocks. The court was made up of judges Mario Reynaldi, Luis Giménez and Ana D'Alessio, while Attorney General Teodoro Nürnberg intervened on behalf of the Public Ministry. The accused were former police officers José Antonio Pereyra, Pedro Pascual Cáceres, Luis Horacio Coria and Jorge Norberto Lagunas. They came to trial accused of being co-authors of the aggravated illegitimate deprivation of liberty, improper incommunication and aggravated torture because the victim was a politically persecuted person to the detriment of the nine victims.
