Three Argentine galleries - Jorge Mara La Ruche, Rolf Art and Vasari - will participate in the next edition of the Paris Photo fair, which will be held from November 9 to 12 at the Grand Palais Éphémère, in an edition that also featured the Argentine gallerist Florencia Giordana as a member of the selection committee, which opened the door to a greater Latin American presence in this European meeting. With prominent names in Argentine photography, such as Grete Stern, Horacio Coppola, Alicia D'Amico, Annemarie Heinrich, Anatole Saderman and Vivian Galban, among others, the Albiceleste presence will be the most prominent in Latin America at this French fair, one of the most important in Europe, which will take place at the Grand Palais Éphémère, in front of the Eiffel Tower, where a gallery from Brazil (Lume) and one from Chile (Puro Chile) will also be present. A total of 189 galleries from around the world will participate in the meeting that brings together the best of photographic creation, from ancient and modern masters to the latest contemporary trends, displayed in the Grand Palais Éphémère, a 10,000 square meter building designed by the architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, temporary headquarters since in 2024, the fair has already announced, its headquarters will once again be the Grand Palais. In addition to the main sector - with the established ones - and the "Curiosa" section - dedicated to the dynamism of young galleries -, this year, one of the novelties has to do with a brand new sector called "Digital", dedicated to photography in the digital era, curated by specialist Nina Roehrs, where you will see a selection of nine contemporary art galleries and platforms at the forefront of new technologies, with artists who integrate them into their work. But also, the outstanding Latin American presence is explained by the fact that the Argentine Florencia Giordana Braun, director of the Rolf gallery, was summoned to join the selection committee of the current edition of Paris Photo, along with prominent gallery owners from around the world such as Frish Brandt , Howard Greenberg, Tim Jefferies, Françoise Paviot, Timothy Persons, Rocío Santa Cruz, Valérie Cazin.
